CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS
Imago Relationships International is pleased to be offering its sixth annual International Conference in Albuquerque, NM. The theme of this year’s conference is “Imago and Attachment” and we are seeking concurrent proposals that will incorporate this theme, although we will also accept a limited number of more general proposals.
We are returning to the Old Town Hotel, in Albuquerque, NM, which has been one of our most successful conference locations. The hotel provides an environment which feels like it really supports our work. The light and airy environment together with its bright and warm outdoor patios will be available exclusively for the Imago community.
We are honored to have Susan Johnson as our keynote speaker. Susan Johnson, EdD, is Professor of Psychology in the School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa, Canada, and Director of the Ottawa Couple and Family Institute. She is the main proponent of emotionally focused couple and family therapy. In 2000, she received the Outstanding Contribution to the Field Award from the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy for her work in couple and family therapy and on therapy change processes, emotion, and adult attachment.
We are looking for proposals for a total of 16 sessions, each 2.5 hours long to run concurrently. We are sorry that due to program limitations we are unable to accept all proposals.
The submission deadline for those who want to present will be January 31st, 2009. Again, concurrent proposals should center on the theme of the conference. See Request for Proposal for submission details.
